Englefield Green is a place in northern Surrey, near Egham. It's where one of England's finest watercolourists, Paul Sandby chose as a scene for this painting. Very little is known about the painting, other than its location, and even that is difficult to pinpoint due to developments in Englefield Green since the 1800s.
